Dredging and Construction
In addition to our residential and commercial construction services, VANN also operates a specialized Dredging and Construction division. This division focuses on coastal and marine construction, as well as hydraulic dredging. We are proud to be the only company in Costa Rica with advanced, specialized hydraulic dredging equipment, allowing us to handle complex marine projects with unmatched efficiency and precision. Our team’s technical expertise and cutting-edge equipment ensure that we can tackle even the most challenging dredging and coastal construction tasks, providing sustainable solutions for both the environment and our clients.
Over the past few years, we have successfully completed high-profile projects that demonstrate our capabilities in this field. Notably, we played a key role in the construction of the Marina Flamingo, where our dredging expertise was integral to the project’s success. Additionally, we undertook a large-scale wastewater pond maintenance contract for AyA, where we dredged and cleaned over 17,000m³ of sludge in the Guanacaste area. These projects, among others, highlight our commitment to delivering top-quality results and maintaining the highest standards in dredging and marine construction. El dragado de sistemas lagunares generalmente va de la mano con separación de sólidos. La mezcla bombeada por nuestra draga es dirigida hacia una estación de floculación. Mediante la cuidadosa dosificación del correcto floculante, los lodos homogéneos se convierten en una mezcla heterogénea de agua y sólidos. Utilizamos tubos (o grandes sacos) de geotextil para deshidratar la mezcla ya floculada. El geotextil actúa como un filtro, capturando los lodos floculados y dejando pasar agua clarificada, la cual se retorna a la laguna o cuerpo de agua receptor.
